Okay now hold up....when have I ever ever ever gone on a powertrip?
I challenge anyone on this board to come up with ONE time. Ive always been the fairest one on here. Im just asking for one occurence. ONE. Ive never abused my "powers" as a moderator on this board and knock knock Jaime, I never threatened to ban anyone for saying something I didnt like. Ive always stressed free speech and Ive always been vocal with Mat about not allowing ourselves any extra priveledges then anyone else, ask him yourself. If that wasnt the case you wouldnt see the sucess this message board has attained.
Secondly, the topic that was being discussed was a pretty serious matter, I didnt threaten anyone or call bs on anyone. Lets review what I said mk?
#1 "I have a hard time believing that Union did that kind of thing, anyone wanna verify that? "
"Dont think any of that happened. Ill find out though "
"Maybe thats the reason he signed up....just to say that."
I never once threatened anyone because I didnt like what they said. I neither denied nor affirmed anything...why? Because I dont know what the truth really is. I simply gave my opinion ( we are allowed to do that in the US...for the time being anyways ) and I didnt give my opinion in a rude way or in a way that implied anyone else was wrong, I said I "didnt think" that was the case. Thats all.
Finally, you give me crap all the time Jaime, youre always raggin on me sayin im too unorderly and careless, youre always sayin im too promiscous and dont think things thru....well its who I am. Tough. Theres alot of things I could say about you that I dont. You cut jokes all the time, youre a sarcastic bitch but I dont take offense to any of it, but you always get boiled over anytime I mention Broken Arrow...now why is that? I dont even have anything to prove to you, you know the truth, you know Ive told you youre one of the most intelligent people I know, you know I tell you things the majority of my friends dont know, you know all of that. Just think about that for a second and everyone else needs to calm down, this whole thing has gotten out of hand, pretty soon Lee Corso is gonna get on here and start voicin his opinion. I'll verify it, until then, hold tight, for those of you who proliferate slander and lies we will come to find out who you are quite soon

It's obvious that all teams do classless things at one point or another. Players emotions get the best of them etc... It's happened to me a time or two, but not without an earfull from coach Spav and Coach B. What I have a problem with in the Union situation is that, from what people are saying, some of the coaches not only allowed it to happen but were part of the problem.

Oh and that reminds me Patric ^ devoted every one of his varsity years to the Union football program. He earned his spot and it was never promised or even foreshadowed. Hes the last person you'll find that will denounce the Union program for no reason. Events that have occurred have hurt every Union fan, but none so much as past Redskin athletes. Stockton did resign, that much is for sure, the reasoning behind it however isnt clear yet, but I'll find out if this incident in Stillwater really did occur, because I still believe it did not.

Props to okie, it's ABSOLUTELY true. Coach Stockton has resigned and is looking for jobs. Too bad, it's a huge loss to the Union program. Okie is looking smarter and smarter everyday. I told you it was a good source. I wasn't trying to start any problems, especially between BA and Union. Even though I am a BA fan at heart....my job entitles me to be as objective as possible. The story that I was told was: After the BA & Stillwater games, Union players and coaches did some things that isn't considered appropriate for Union standards..even though at some schools it might be ok. Coach Stockton, who is a die-hard Redskin took serious offense these actions by coaches and players. Coach Stockton went and spoke to Coach Wright about these incidents and kinda told him this went against everything Bill Blankenship stood for. Coach Wright then told him that, "it is ok for these kids to do this...it is part of their culture." Now when I was told the story...it was kinda in essence a racial stereotype..becasue he was talking about some of the black players. Coach Stockton told Coach Wright that if that type of behavior was going to be tolerated...he was not interested in being a part of the Redskin Program anymore. Now..before you guys think I am trying to start rumors about the race issue....this is what I was told. I don't know if it was true or not. It is in my opinion that is what the source was implying to me. However, he never said Wright or any Union Coach is a racist, just implied that it was ok for certain players to act a certain way becasue of thier culture. Like I have said....I didn't see any of these actions and have never seen a Union or player ever act classless or etc. I have seen fans-from all schools do things that could be considered classless...but that is part of HS and College football. The signs, chants, mascots, yelling at refs, and etc are some of the best things about HS and College football. What fans do...does not and should not reflect on the team and or coaches. Now...when I made the commennt about BA not holding a candle to Union in football-- I didn't mean that BA isn't a quality program. BA is one of the best programs in the state every year, however when compared to titles....BA isn't nearly as good as Union. But, that isn't a shot at BA....because the same can be said about 31 other 6A shools in the past 10 years. BA, ESF, Muskogee, WM, Owasso, Norman, Lawton, IKe, Mustang, and etc are the same types of programs as BA...very competitve year in and year out...just never quite as good as Jenks or Union. With all of this said....I would like to apologize if I upset anyone on this board. I promise I would never get on here and post about someone leaving a job, getting fired, and etc, unless I was 99% sure that I was correct. I know something else that a lot of people will find interest in...but I will wait until the season is over to post that info.

Ok. As an old football coach I had to find out the truth myself. Okie21 is wrong. It was not Union kids, IT WAS UNION COACHES that Stockton was was upset about. Yes COACHES. I could read between the lines and see that if it was the kids then Stockton would have ran the $hit out of them. It was two new coaches. Now I can understand why a man of class would get out on that one.
As for the game, Union has not beat a good team all year. District 6A-4 and 6A-3 playoff teams played in non-district. BA lost to Muskogee, Owasso, and Jenks. Union lost to Jenks and Muskogee. Stillwater lost to Owasso. Now how can Union be this great team in the playoffs, they have not been hit in the mouth in 7 weeks.
Muskogee, has been banged up the last 5 weeks. Are they ready to go,we will see. Now with that said Muskogee found a way to beat B.T.W. and lost to Owasso. So the game is gonna be a good one, but Muskogee will win this one. They are a battle tested group. It is build up like all Union, and it's just not going to happen that way.

In my opinion........even though I think Muskogee will win.........until that happens Union is the team to beat.
If Muskogee wins this game, it will be very important for Muskogee to jump out to an early lead. I think one of the biggest factors of the first Union/Musk game was the way Muskogee jumped out to an early lead on their first drive.....and then scored in the first few minutes of the second half.
This should be a good game.....both teams believe they will win. Usually in the first round(esp 1 vs 4)...one team usually knows their chance of winning is slim.
Union is on a roll right now.....and they believe that they are a lot better than they were in week 3. They also have the advantage of playing at home.
Muskogee has been stung by the injury bug....but they are now getting healthy. Someone posted that Muskogee last week played with their original 11 offensive starters for the first time since week 2. Dre Stout has rushed for over 150 two weeks straight....and Rell Lewis looked a lot like the Rell Lewis of old.
If Muskogee has a healthy Lewis, Stout, and Owens..........they will be very tough to beat. They weren't ranked number 1 for 5 weeks for nothing.
I believe this is the best 1-4 matchup that I can ever remember in 6A history.

...and whats funny, is Union is the one seed....and you have to admit theyre the underdog here, if only because theyve already lost to Muskogee.

union played bad in the muskogee and jenks game and still was in the game untill the end. Union has really played well since they went to the spread offense. Rogers is really throwing the ball well and jeremy smith ran for 145 yards on 9 carries las week and has rushed good all year. . So Union wins 31-17 over muskogee.

You will have to wait and see......it isn't official yet. Please tell me it's that Whitson is getting let go and Coccanouer is rightfully taking the job. I wouldn't be surprised is Coccanouer took a new job now that both of his daughters will have graduated in May.

If he (Coccanouer) was offered a new job at one of the "bigger" schools...it wouldn't surprise me either. He has been blessed at ESF with talent the past four years, but not so much this year. He would be smart to go to a bigger talent pool school (more than the 1600 or so at ESF). Right now he would probably be a hot commodity...he stays at ESF too long that might or might not be the case. A coach is only as good as the players he has to work with.

And as good as the assistants he/she surrounds him/herself with. Coccanut did great things at Chandler before bringing Santa Fe to the 2003 title game. It still surprises me that BA took Whitson over him in the first place.
