Murry took an assistant job at Kansas or K State ..... can't remember which. One of his assistants will take over on an interim basis this season. It's supposed to open at the end of the season.

That job is gonna open ........ faculty, adminstration and parents of Claremore are not going to be satisfied with just competing, they want to win and win big. Look for Claremore to open it up after school is out and find a new coach.

Maybe Matt new a bad season was coming and that's why he jumped ship. Can't blame the lack of victories on the coach if the talent isn't on the field.

I've seen Claremore play twice, saw them struggle badly at the plate, and defense was shaky both games. They did look young and inexperienced. No disrespect intended. I could have caught them on a bad day. (or a couple of bad days) To me, they just looked timid and unsure of themselves. Some of that blame will go to the coach, after all, he's the one that's gotta get them in the zone to play better ball. He just needed to grab the water bucket and sling water on 'em in the dugout, wake 'em up a bit.

I saw Claremore 2 times in Owasso last week ........ Definately young , but it seemed to me they were not ready to play, unprepared even and that falls on the coaches. All of the coaches are good guys ..... maybe just not leaders.

Watched them play Sandsprings and B-ville. Both these 6A teams are not elite teams, but they can play some pretty good ball. Like I said before, maybe I caught the Zebras on a bad day. I generally attend the 6A games, and there is a comparison I'd like to make here. I'd laid money that Bishop Kelley would have been a mediocre team at best this year, considering they graduated a ton a great talent, and I'd lost. I've seen them play twice, too, and to me, it looked like Claremore and Bishop Kelley have about the same amount of physical talent. The Comets look young, too, but they are pretty sharp, aggressive, and can beat teams the caliber of Sandsprings and B-ville. I give the credit to Scardino, he's about as good a coach as you can get, and I think it shows. I'm not saying Claremore's coaches suck, I haven't seen enough of their games. I'm just saying that good coaches find a way to make their teams overachieve. One of my old coaches, who was a super teacher of the game, told me this when we were talking about some troubles I was having with a lack of talent on one of my teams. I'll never forget it. He said, "You can polish a turd, and it's still a turd, but at least it's a polished turd." Do you get it?
