Dalton Irvin is starting at Bixby as Freshman and was going to be the next great running back to come through the Union program.

Why did Dalton transfer?

Most schools have a lot more than 2 quality players transfer....usually to Union or Jenks. The two you lost is a pretty fair trade for the 2004 title with the entire team of move ins.

I would love to have had Hawkins this year. I can understand why he left, what with the coaching change and the new coach's love for running the football. His numbers proved he made the correct decision. With Wright's love for sophmores he wouldn't have gotten near the catches or playing time. On the other hand he is the receivers coach "type" of player, if you get my meaning.

Irvin...my understanding was that he was told to leave. Always in trouble and to much of a prima dona. Maybe the transfer to Bixby will change him. Doubt it.

Dalton is a great kid and I'm glad he's back in Bixby. He would have done just fine at Union in the coming years, but he'll do much better in Bixby. Not sure about the 'prima dona' sp??? comment, but he seems to make a lot of yards running through guys. Big powerful kid! Good luck to him in the future!

I'm now hearing that Union will have a huge move out this year. QB's family not happy with fact that Union does not have a bona fide passing QB coach and head coach does not have confidence or experience in passing game. This would be a huge loss for Union. I sure hope it's not true.

It might be Boyce. He's a Freshman or a Sophomore, supposed to be very good. Also happens to be lance barber's cousin.

What does that have to do with anything? I was just posting it to show how former Union players were excelling at other schools. One of which happens to be a friend of mine.

Union loses ALOT of players every year, quality athletes too. And its not our fault our facilities, prestige and coaching ( then anyways ) attracts players
