Here are the stats of the starting 5 Lady Indians, according to the Tahlequah Daily Press:
Angel Goodrich (5'3" sophomore): 21.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 7.4 apg, 6.3 spg, 1.4 bpg (last year: 19.3 ppg, 6.1 apg, 4.8 spg)
Shawna Singleterry (5'7" senior): 17.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.1 apg, 3.4 spg (last year: 13.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg)
Sade' Horsechief (5'11" senior): 3.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.8 spg
Lorrin Hammer (5'2" sophomore): 8.0 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 3.9 apg, 3.0 spg
Cassie Moore (6'0" sophomore): 4.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.1 bpg
For those b-ball acronyms illiterate: ppg = points per game rpg = rebounds per game apg = assists per game spg = steals per game bpg = blocks per game
Overall '05-'06 season record of 27-2
STATE CHAMPS 2005 AND 2006!!!
They are losing a few major contributors (Shawna, Sade', Jamie Loy and Tiffany Teehee), but are gaining some really great ones also. Kensey Hall will be eligible next season, and Nikki Lewis (Angel's lil sis) and Lindsey Hammer (Lorrin's lil sis) will be incoming freshman next year. They will also be returning quite a few players from the State Champion team, plus the up and coming freshman class.

Here is the returning cast from the '06 State Champion team:
Angel Goodrich, Tashina Snell, Hannah Cornell, Teranne Spottedbear, Brittney Keys, Tae Deerinwater, Lorrin Hammer, Karen Hammer, Brea Brewer, Cassie Moore, and, finally eligible for next season, Kensey Hall.
Tashina is my lil' cousin. She injured her knee (slightly torn ACL) in practice about a week before the 1st game of the season. She had surgery and was out on dr.'s care until the day BEFORE the area finals against Bethel. She got her release the day before vs. Bethel, but hadn't been able to practice till then, so she was way off her game. The coach let her suit up with the varisty, and even put her in the game the final couple minutes. She was able to suit up during the State Tourney, but didn't get much playing time. I haven't really seen her play as I'm a bad cousin, but my mom and sister said she's pretty good on defense and passing, but skiddish to shoot.

Oops, I left Sukey Deere out of the returning cast. I can't forget her. She should be a strong presence on the inside for the Lady Indians next season.
