Man thats some bull.....its not the schools rights! Thats why im glad out of high school and in to college......I dont have to worry bout any of the stuff!

funny fact on bomar...... at a hornets game a month or so back he had just turned 21 but they found him in the crowd and showed him drinking a beer for like all together about 5 min lol....but apparently he is dating a honeybee so props to bomar for that i guess he is good for one thing lol

If they were drinking KEYSTONE they should sue someone to get their taste buds back. That would be like drinking "BILLY BEER" or "SCOTCH BUY" in my day. Then again, those beers only costs like $2.50 a 6 pack back then.

Fartman - it's not a good idea to play cute on this one. Underage drinking is an epidemic that kills a lot of kids and messes up lives of many others. There's a ton of reasons why it is illegal and why schools try to discourage it.
If someone is stupid enough to let a picture be taken of them holding a beer and then claim "it wasn't mine" or "I didn't drink any" they deserve to have their extracurricular privileges taken away. As a Jenks parent, I am pleased that they are taking the effort to drive the point home.
These kids (and I have no idea who they may be) knew the rules. They agreed to be bound by them. They apparently chose to break their word. They need to accept responsibility for their actions as well as the consequences.

fartman, July 3, 1981, my junior HS summer, my friends and I were out in the boonies, which is now known as Edmond, we were drinking and having pop bottle rocket fights when we decided to leave. We approached Western Ave and Edmond Rd, the UCO fireworks display had just ended. The car I was in, turned off the car lights to see if anyone was coming, saw nothing, went thru the STOP sign and BOOM. T-boned by a car going 40 MPH. The Driver was thrown under the car, passener ruptured his spleen as the glove box opened, guy behind the driver broke his leg and I fractured my jaw.
If we weren't drinking the driver never would have been driving like that. Drining impairs your driving skills, your emotions and your reaction time.
I think the actions that Jenks took are exemplary. These actions may stop some of the open field parties and parties at kids houses where drinking goes on, which in turn, will curtail kids from being killed in car crashes where alcohol in involved.
Didn't mean to preach, but, I would like kids to learn from my mistakes so that they don't end up pushing daisies at such a young age.

can someone just tell me why people think it is so cool to display pictures that you are drinking in? or one where you are passed out bc you consumed so much alcohol? yeahh you all are cool. drinking underage, breaking the law, damaging your body on excessive levels and PROVING to everyone you are immature. reeeaaaalll cool guys. the administration shouldn't even have to be punishing them, the parents should. but whatever punishments they get, and from whoever they get them from, they deserve it. stop making excuses like,"uhh well they did it on their own time" or "buh buh buh but it was at their house. their house. THEIR OWN house". you do the crime, you better be expecting to deal with the consequences.
if you are stupid enough to put proof on the internet, which is by the way, public, that you have been par taking in illegal activities, i think you deserve more than suspension. maybe to be tested for mental retardation?
and seriously? "if you are holding a beer can, where is the proof that you are indeed drinking alcohol?" are you all retarded? i know that i often think to myself "ummm i'm not going to drink, but hey hand me your beer so i can look cool posing in this picture, pretending i am" yeah. real cool arguments, guys.
