I've been looking at the school handbook today and asked several teachers about this today when I was up at Jenks and this is something that IS in the Admin's jurisdiction simply due to the fact of how broad they keep their rules the students sign. It is all very open ended, which is really a cop-out by the Jenks admin, IMO, so they can do this type of thing if they want to. Matt - If they didn't keep their ability to exercise discipline "broad" and "open ended," they wouldn't be able to exercise it at all because of the never-ending objections to anything they might do to enforce rules. No one could come up with every single thing one might need to do in relation to discipline, and the second they enforced a rule through means that weren't specifically listed, the cry would start that they were being unfair. The focus needs to be on the conduct of the students, not the actions of the administration.

I guess its a good thing I dont drink. Ever. Seriously. I am with you 100%. That's something you and me have always been able to agree on. lol, I was bein sarcastic, just because I never drank when I hang out with you, Andrew, or Brandon doesnt mean I havent. I just rarely do it in public. I think its cool that you dont drink though.

It's interesting that ESPNU should have this online right as this is happening at Jenks, but remember that many college athletes are of legal drinking age. Also, do college athletes typically have to sign the agreements not to engage in certain activities like hs kids do? That would make a difference.
I noted the poll asked if college athletes should be allowed to have these sites, and the vast majority of those responding said they should. The follow up question is whether they should be willing to face the consequences for breaking team or school rules if caught doing so on those sites. That's the main question for us here.
