This is a pure LIE. No one has stomped or spit on anyone. If anyone was classes it was Broken Arrow. Their coaches screaming about recruitment of their players. Their players diving over the pile when they are getting beat. Their coaches pictching money at the referees. Trash.
Coach Wright has brought nothing but class to Union. The players have never spit or stomped on anyone. Your buddy is liar and gossiper. Coach Stockton isnt going anywhere, he never said anything never have. Coach Stockton does the raido commentary, you guys are pitiful. This is how crap gets started. If you dont know for sure dont comment about it. If you want to know just email coach wright if you are too chicken $^@% to ask him in person.

I can speak on some personal experience I had with the Union coaches. I am a big Westmoore supporter and we hosted them for a scrimmage. The coaches were very gracious and complimentary of our event. This was even after they had dealt with some adversity in the scrimmage. 1 incident I remember is that 1 of the Union players was screaming at teammates and using some profanity. A Union Coach grabbed the player and told him that this behavior would not be tolerated.
It is hard for me to think that any of the coaches I interacted with would condone this type of behavior.

I was just repeating what was told to me from a reliable source. This has nothing to do with BA....you notice I haven't yet once defended BA or Coach Whitson for the way that program is ran. However, which is more likely? Look how many of Coach Blankenship's coaches have already left...why did they leave? You have to agree that it is possible that another coach that was brought in by Bill would leave, and this isn't me starting rumors about Union. What purpose would I have to start rumors about Union? Maybe if I was from Jenks....but being from BA, I realize our football doesn't hold a candle to Union. Union has better players, coaches, and fans. The only negative comments I have ever said about Union....was when the fans were booing the team/coach during the halftime of the Muskogee game. I have never seen a Union Coach or player do anything that would be a disgrace to the school. I am simply repeating what I was told, not trying to tear down Union to build BA up(that would be impossible). Is there a chance I am wrong? YES, simply becuase Stockton wasn't the one who told me. Is there a chance I am right? YES, simply becasue the person who did tell me would know. |

didn't necessarily mean ban you, you've been a fairly productive member of the board, but maybe a few penalties. I know a few things from pretty credible sources that I don't post on the board(Baashar knows), only because I can't absolutely confirm them. Thus it might be a little irresponsible to post them.

Okie NEVER even claimed that his information was fact. Next, I appreciate the fact that you all believe that if you confronted someone in what has become such a political position with a question about the happenings going on within their program, especially anything negative, that they would actually tell YOU. who the hell do you guys think you are?
Next, (Baashar I know you see this coming) stop saying BA isn't classy, need i remind you that Union hangs a tiger? BA isn't even allowed to utter the name Union. you all say you see them do things that you view as unclassy and claim that Union is holier than god. Well i am just going to say that you all don't know jack nuts. you think you do but you don't. No one knows anything about everything or everything about anything. OKIE, BA does hold a candle to Union. Union isn't as great as everyone makes them out to be and BA isn't as horrible. Does Coach Whitson suck? yes, more than any of you all will ever realize. Does BA have coaches that will take the coach's son aside and rip him a new one without a second thought? most definitely, i have seen it happen.Will coach Whitson be gone next year? highly doubt that one. they have too much invested in him. It is not impossible to build BA up and it is not impossible to bring Union down. Every program has its flaws; even OKPrepSports with it's incessant threats to kick its members off for their opinions. wanna talk about classy now?

hope that one's not about me, cuz I never said I would kick him off(though reading my post it does seem implied). And he also didn't say it was his opinion that coach Stockton quit, he said he heard it from a highly credible source. That's as close to calling it fact as you can get.
Agree with the rest of your post though. Good post.

Yes it was implied and you did say something about penalties. Baashar gets on his power trips too and plays it off later as not being serious. But it is still ridiculous. Maybe i just don't understand why bc it is a discussion board and the posts that offend people the most normally make for the best discussions. I don't agree with the moderators threatening to ban people or put limits on them just for stating their opinion. I know there are boundaries set, but truth is subjective and it is insane to think that you would tell someone they are wrong bc you disagree with what they say.

Come on...this has developed into a great little discussion forum because you all have been able to "discuss" things with out all of that trash that made the old coachesaid forum fail.
Why start with this now? I am basically unbiased on this one, but i do know that there is probably not a school in the state that someone could not take something that team did as classless (whether it was or not)! What is the point in even bringing something like that up?
The playoffs are getting ready to start, the Union/Muskogee matchup is going to be awsome, the west will get to test its undefeated season against the east....I for one say we drop this now....and enjoy the rest of the season!

Yes you're correct about that. I went a bit far. But am I correct to say you also did not like the endless false rumors that circulated on coachesaid? So yes we should end this, but later we will have to post the actual truth about it, so a rumor doesn't get started that ends up being untrue. And like I said, what okie posted wasn't presented as an opinion. You can't have an opinion on whether a coach quit. Either he did or he didn't. But he says his source is good so we'll see. |

I don't neccessarily have a problem with "rumors" per say. Its the trash talking, threats, and verbal bashing that seem to always get mixed up in the middle of them all that bothers me.
Lets face it...there wouldn't be a whole lot to discuss without some "rumors".
And though it is probably impossible to do...I would just like for once to hear the rumor...then hear the "SOLID" truth about it. Without all the junk in between that pops up because of heated rivalries or whatever.

Agreed, that would be nice. It's kind of a fine line between what hearsay should and shouldn't be posted. This one seems a little borderline. Don't know. It's up to everyone(like you) to decide what should and shouldn't be tolerated. We just enforce it. I'll clean up my act a little too. At times I instigate more than I moderate, but sometimes I just can't help it, I'm a fan ya know.

Props to okie, it's ABSOLUTELY true. Coach Stockton has resigned and is looking for jobs. Too bad, it's a huge loss to the Union program. Okie is looking smarter and smarter everyday.

Sad to see coach stockton go. wish I would have chimed in on this a bit earlier. When it comes to classless acts, every team has done one thing or another that could be construed to being disrespectful. Look at Jenks in the late 90's getting put on probation from the playoffs because of what happened post-game in the 98 state championship. Just because a few fans do something stupid (like the Jenks streaker), or a player likes to jaw more than others, or even stomp a logo, doesn't mean it's the entire school's view, but that's the way it's taken. Union has always showed class in everything for the most part, as well as Jenks, BA, and Stillwater, and all the other schools I have watched over the years (with the exception to one west side school and baseball). Sure sometimes a player will do something stupid and make the school look bad, but keep in mind that he/she is one in one thousand doing that. I know that athletes are embassadors of their school and should be smarter than that, but everyone slips up once in a while... and yes, some more than others.
Okie21 - you nailed it on the head with your comment about getting more work done; I know it's true for me!
