I have reason to believe that Lancaster will be accepting a job.....and taking a big named DC with him. It will be a deal like Lancaster did at Muskogee...he will take the job for a few years and then the DC will take over.
I am not saying which job or which DC...but I bet you guys will figure it out.
However...I think there is a lot to be worked out before this can happen.

I wouldn't think coach B would be out of the question ............ especially if they ( BA ) wait a little bit before beginning the search. I would guess 100 grand would do it.

I dont think Coach B would do it. Money isnt everything. I respect him so much, and he never forgot my name, I was by FAR never an important aspect of the Union program but he always greeted me by name and shook my hand everytime he saw me, and my name isnt an easy one, he never once mispronounced it though. Even my position coach whom I saw every day still doesnt get my name right. Coach B has loyalties to the Union program, and hes a man of integrity, money isnt gonna take him to Broken Arrow, maybe somewhere a little further away. MAYBE. Even that is doubtful.

If Coach Blankenships wants to get back into HS football he would take the job. If that job came open...it would be the best available job in OK.

I disagree. Dont think he would coach at BA.

Whitson is out Monday. Lancaster is the front runner for the job. The details have to be ironed out before Lancaster will accept. Lancaster will require a similar compensation package like Wright's. Wright got 100k, and was allowed to hire his own coaches, new uniforms, AD title with no AD responsibilities, the whole ball of wax. The reason why Whitson and Jones were pushed out of BA was because neither could beat Union/Jenks. Lancaster has proven he can build Championship caliber programs....at a bunch of schools. He will be taking a big named DC with him.
If you don't want to believe me..........that is fine. You guys didn't believe me last time either!

It wasnt a matter of me not believing you last time, and I never once said, "No Okie, youre wrong". I was just skeptical, Im not gonna listen to the first thing someone says and take that as the truth....would you? I hope not...if you did your info wouldnt be very valuable would it?

I'm with ya. And..it might not happen, it will be on Lancaster's terms and BA will have to meet all of them.

Well I think Broken Arrow would be very fortunate to have Lancaster, as they are very fortunate to finally rid themselves of Whitson.

I think Whitson is a great coach...I just don't think he had the support of BA Admin behind him. It is very tough for a coach to succeed w/out Admin support.....they can make life very difficult for a coach.
If they hire Lancaster....they better be ready for someone that will do it HIS way, or no way.

If Lancaster goes to BA, he may be the first football coach that has more stroke than the band.
